TEOTIHUACAN

No podíamos perdernos Teotihuacan. Es un sitio espectacular, era un antiguo asentamiento azteca que tiene, entre otras cosas, dos grandes pirámides, la Pirámide del Sol y la Pirámide de la Luna. Son espectaculares, y entre una y otra hay grandes avenidas que hacen que sea un lugar mágico e imponente. Fuimos un domingo y la verdad es que estaba hasta arriba de gente. Cuando llegamos hacía un día nublado y llovió un poco. Como vimos ese panorama no nos echamos protector solar, ni cogí el sombrero del coche ni nada…error. Decidimos  subir a la Pirámide del Sol para ver la vista desde arriba y el conjunto desde lo alto. A medida que pasaba la mañana y cuanto más arriba estábamos iba saliendo el sol. Acabé con todo el escote quemado y menos mal que Miki me dejó su gorra, porque si no la cara habría sufrido también. Parecíamos auténticos guiris, yo con la gorra y Miki con un pañuelo en la cabeza. Cuesta bastante llegar arriba, los escalones son super altos (la proporción entre el alto y el ancho de los peldaños es igual, cuando normalmente la altura suele ser menor que la anchura). Conseguimos llegar arriba después de una cola enorme al sol y muertos de sed, pero mereció la pena. La vista es preciosa y poderlo ver todo desde lo alto es espectacular. Parece mentira que construyesen todo eso cuando no había grúas ni tecnología ni ninguna maquinaria como ahora.

We could not miss Teotihuacan. It is a spectacular place, an ancient Aztec settlement that has, among other things, two great pyramids, the Sun Pyramid and the Moon Pyramid. They are gorgeous, and between them there are great avenues that make it a magical and awesome place. We went on a Sunday and it was really crowded. When we arrived it was a cloudy day and rained a little. As we saw that picture we not used sunscreen or hat ... bad mistake. We decided to go up to the Sun Pyramid to see the top view. As the morning passed and the higher we were the sun was coming out. I ended up with my neckline burnt and luckily Miki borrow me his cap, so my face hadn't suffered. It was quite hard to reach the top, the steps are super high. We managed to get up after a huge line in the sun and dying of thirst, but is worth it. The view is beautiful and you can see everything from the top. It seems amazing to me to think about how they build all of this when there was no technology or machinery as today.
