DESERT CITY. DONDE COMPRAR UN CACTUS

Soy una amante de los cactus y las palmeras. Una obsesa. Allá donde voy, si tiene palmeras o cactus, me apasiona. Me gusta tener plantas en casa y ademas los cactus son fáciles de mantener. Hace poco descubrí un sitio increíble en Madrid para comprar cactus. Desert City se trata de un vivero en la carretera A1 que vende única y exclusivamente cactus (en realidad igual vende también algo más...).

Tienen cactus de todas las especies y tamaños y de todos los precios. Yo compré uno mediano de precio medio para casa y me encanta. Además me enseñaron a cuidarlo, por lo visto la tierra tiene que ser muy porosa y tienen que tener determinados estratos en la maceta. Se riegan de marzo a noviembre una vez al mes sumergiendo la maceta en agua y escurriéndolo todo hasta que no quede nada de agua que pueda estancarse. 

Si tenéis ocasión de ir os lo recomiendo, tienen además un jardín fuera con un montón de especies que es bonito de visitar. La verdad es que fuimos un día horrible, medio llovía y era muy frío y gris,. No pensé nunca que en este clima aguantaran bien estas plantas que asocio al desierto, pero lo cierto es que el jardín exterior está genial.

I am a cactus and palm trees lover. An obsessed, wherever I go, if it has palms or cactus, I am passionate about it. I like to have plants at home and also the cactus are easy to maintain. I recently discovered an amazing place in Madrid to buy cactus. Desert City is a garden center on the A1 road that sells cactus only (well they may sell something else ...).

They have cactus of all species and sizes and of all prices. I bought a medium-priced one for the house and I love it. They also taught me how to take care of it, apparently the earth has to be very porous and they have to have certain strata in the pot. They are watered from March to November once a month by submerging the pot in water and squeezing everything until there is no water left.

If you have the chance to go I recommend it, they also have a garden outside with a lot of species. The truth is that it was a horrible day, it was raining and it was very gray, I never thought that in this climate they would hold up well, but certenly the outdoor garden is great.
