THE DAY I MET MARIAH CAREY

Mi amigo Alberto es un Lambily en toda regla (fan de Mariah a niveles inalcanzables), y se enteró de que Uber había empezado una acción, Uber Karaoke, dónde podrías participar y montarte en su coche karaoke y cantar "All I want for Christmas is you". El viaje en coche con la canción más original a nivel interpretativo ganaba entradas para el concierto y para el Meet&Greet con ella.

Cuando Alberto se enteró me pidió por favor que participásemos, se moría por conocer a su máxima ídola y a mi la verdad es que me apetecía mucho y se lo comentamos también a Lara, mi amiga de Influencer Squad, que se que a ella le hacía muchísima ilusión.

A todo esto, el único momento que teníamos para poder hacer el Karaoke era a la hora de la comida del trabajo, pero nos dio igual, lo conseguimos. 

Nos motivamos muchísimo. Lara se hizo con todo tipo de atrezzo navideño para meternos en situación; espumillón, gorritos, matasuegras, orejas de reno, panderetas... Además hicimos emoticonos para ir sacándolos durante la canción y Alberto se puso su sudadera hand-made de Mariah Carey con la frase célebre "I dont't know her" y Lara y yo jerseys navideños.

Lo bueno fue también que Alberto canta que te mueres y se sabía la canción con lujo de detalles a si que nosotras podíamos limitarnos a hacer los coros, tocar la pandereta y cantar la parte que nos sabíamos.

Por lo visto al equipo de Uber les encantó nuestro vídeo y el día antes del concierto nos llamaron para comunicarnos que éramos los ganadores.

Podéis imaginaros como nos pusimos: a saltar, a gritar, a llorar de alegría (Miki me quería echar de casa), íbamos a conocer a Mariah! y la ocasión se merecía un lookazo.

Mi santa madre, que me quiere más que nada en este mundo y me aguanta como nadie, me acompañó a zara en medio de mi éxtasis y seleccionó todo lo brilli brilli, bling bling, dorado, festivo, extravagante, que hubiera para encontrar un outfit digno de posar con Mariah. Encontré un mono corto plateado que me encantó y no como tenía pensado comprar nada para fin de año pensé  que además me venía perfecto para las dos ocasiones.

A si que el lunes, al salir del trabajo me arreglé corriendo y quedé con Alberto y Lara en el punto de encuentro donde el Uber Karaoke nos recogió para llevarnos al concierto. Así íbamos los tres, parecíamos un grupo de POP:

One of the most memorable moments of my 2018 was the day I met the greatest music diva, Mariah Carey. She came to Madrid on her All I want for Christmas is you Tour and I was dying to go to the concert, but what I did not know was, not only that I'm going, but I also will share a room with her for a minute, exchange barely two words and have one of the most memorable photo of my gallery.

My friend Alberto is a huge lambily, and he found out that Uber had started an action, the Uber Karaoke, where you could participate and have a ride in his car pool Karaoke singing "All I want for Christmas is you". The most original team at the car, interpretive talking, win tickets to the concert and a Meet & Greet with her. When Alberto found out he asked me to please participate, he was dying to meet his idol and I really wanted too, so I also tell Lara, my friend from Influencer Squad, that I know she woud love to participate with us.

Btw, the only moment we had to be able to do the Karaoke was at lunchtime, but we did not care, we got it. We are all very motivated. Lara brought all kinds of Christmas items to put us in situation; tinsel, hats, mufflers, reindeer ears, tambourines ... We also made emoticons to take them out during the song and Alberto put on his hand-made Mariah Carey sweater with the famous quote "I dont't know her" and Lara and I wore Christmas jumpers. The good thing was also that Alberto is a huge singer and he knew the song in detail, so Lara and I could just do the choirs, play the tambourine and sing the part we knew.

Apparently the Uber team loved our video and the day before the concert they called us to let us know that we were the winners. You can imagine our reaction: jumping, screaming, crying for joy (Miki wanted to get me out of the house), we were going to meet Mariah! and the occasion deserved a memorable outfit. My holy mother, who loves me more than anything in this world and supports me like no one, went Zara with me in the middle of my ecstasy and picked up all the bling bling, golden, festive, extravagant piece of cloth in the store, I needed to find an outfit worthy of posing with Mariah. I found a short silver jumpsuit that I loved that was also perfect for New year's eve.

On Monday when I left the office I got dressed and met Alberto and Lara at the meeting point where the Uber Karaoke picked us up to take us to the concert. That's how the three of us went, we looked like a POP band:

Entramos al Wizink Center y Uber nos llevó a nuestro sitio, nos iban grabando todo el rato para un pequeño documental interno que estaban haciendo como un case of study para ellos. El concierto fue todo fantasía navideña, el decorado era como estar dentro de un cuento de navidad, en el polo norte lleno de regalos, con renos, un árbol de navidad gigante etc. Mariah cantó muchas canciones de sus discos de navidad, una de su disco nuevo, The Distance, y dos míticas suyas: Hero, mi favorita, y We belong Together.

El concierto, como no, terminó con una lluvia de nieve mientras cantaba "All I want for Chirtmas is you".

Cuando terminó nos pusieron una pulsera y nos llevaron a conocerla. Recorrimos los pasillos y salas del Wizink en silencio, pasamos por sitios en los que no había estado nunca, y llegamos a una sala previa al Meet&Greet dónde Uber ya no podía grabar nada y estábamos la gente que íbamos a pasar a conocerla, unas 30 personas, y los de seguridad. Salió una chica, que debía ser ayudante de Mariah y nos comentó que no estaban permitidos los móviles dentro de la sala, un fotógrafo profesional nos haría dos fotos y Mariah escogería una que nos harían llegar en un link para descargarla unos tres días después (justo a tiempo para mi cumpleaños!).

Hicimos cola y teníamos que entrar uno por uno y no veíamos lo que sucedía dentro de la sala. Yo cada vez me iba poniendo más nerviosa. Cuando llegó mi turno, Kristofer Buckle, el maquillador de Mariah y de más celebrities, me cogió de la mano, me sonrió, me preguntó mi nombre y me llevó hasta Mariah, que estaba de pie delante de una cortina blanca (que sería el fondo de la foto y que me espanta...) y delante un montón de gente, cámaras etc, no me fijé mucho porque estaba muy intimidada por la situación. Es muy alta y me impuso mucho, además había mucha gente mirando y yo no sabía que decir :). Ella, que ya está acostumbrada a estas cosas, me hizo un comentario a cerca de mi look. Lara y yo íbamos muy parecidas y ella había pasado antes que yo, le hizo gracia que fuésemos parecidas y yo le dije que era para la ocasión (no todos los días se conoce a Mariah Carey!). Yo, que había procesado en mi cabeza muy bien la pose para aprovechar los dos disparos que tenía para intentar no salir con cara de retrasada al lado de Mariah, tomé posiciones y ella también. Un disparo, muevo ligeramente la cabeza, otro disparo. Muchas gracias y hasta luego.

Fue un momento que pasó tan deprisa y que me supuso tantas emociones! cuando acabé estaba emocionada, no se cómo pude dormir al llegar a casa!.

When it was over they put us on a bracelet and took us to meet her. We walked the corridors and rooms of the Wizink in silence, we went through places that I had never been, and we came to a room prior the Meet&Greet where Uber could not film anything. There we were the people that are going to meet her, about 30 people, and security guys. A woman came out, she miht be Mariah's assistant and told us that cell phones were not allowed inside the room, a professional photographer will take two photos of us and Mariah would choose one of them that they will send us in a link to download it three days later (just in time for my birthday!).

We had a line outside, we entered one by one and we couldn't see what was happening inside the room.  I started getting more and more nervous. When my turn comes, Kristofer Buckle, Mariah's makeup artist (and most celebrities), took me by the hand, smiled at me, asked my name and took me to Mariah, who was standing in front of a white curtain (which would be the background of the photo and that scares me ...) and in front of a lot of people, cameras, assistants etc, I did not notice much because I was very intimidated by the situation. She is very tall and imposing, besides there were many people watching and I did not know what to say :). She, who is already used to these things, made a comment about my look. Lara and I were very similar and she had met right before me, so she was funny that we were alike. I told her the look was for the occasion (not every day you're meeting Mariah Carey!). I had processed the pose in my head very well to take advantage of the two shots. I had to try not to be with a stupid face next to Mariah. I took positions and she did too. One shot, I lightly shake my head, another shot. Thank you very much and see yah!.

It was a moment that happened so fast and that supposed so many emotions! When I finished I was excited, I do not know how I could sleep when I got home!

Así llegaba yo a casa después del concierto y dos horas de Meet&Greet

El jueves, el día de mi cumpleaños, nos llegó el link de descarga a la hora de comer. Alberto y y lo abrimos nerviosísimos, la prueba de que conocer a Mariah no era un sueño, era real. Cuando vi mi foto la verdad es que estuve muy orgullosa de mi pose, misión cumplida, posando bajo presión y al lado de una Diva de todos los tiempos. 

On Thursday, the day of my birthday, we received the link to download the photo at lunchtime. Alberto and we opened it very nervous, the proof that meeting Mariah was not a dream was there, it was real. When I saw my photo the truth is that I was very proud of my pose hahaha, mission accomplished: posing under pressure and next to a Diva of all time.
