LOCATION: Roma y Nápoles, Italia.
El viaje por el sur de Italia fue espectacular. Un recorrido por vario sitios imprescindibles de Italia que no conocía. Nunca había ido al sur a pesar de que he estado en Italia en muchas ocasiones, pero me faltaba esa zona.
Fui con mi madre y con mi hermana una semana, siete días, y me encantó porque hacía tiempo que no íbamos las tres solas de viaje.
The trip through southern Italy was spectacular. A tour of several essential places in Italy that I did not know. I had never been to the south even though I have been in Italy many times, but I was missing that area.

Volamos de Madrid a Roma y pasamos la tarde recorriendo algunos sitios clave de la ciudad que mi hermana no conocía: empezamos en la plaza del Campidoglio y vimos los Foros Imperiales desde lo alto, una de las vistas más bonitas de la ciudad, además estaba atardeciendo y la luz era espectacular. Paseamos por Via del Corso y vimos la Fontana di Trevi, que estaba como nunca la había visto, no cabía un alfiler. Cenamos cerca del Panteon y fuimos a dormir pronto porque al día siguiente nos esperaba un viaje en autobús a Napoles. Y ahí empezaba el recorrido por la Italia desconocida para mí.
We flew from Madrid to Rome and spent the afternoon visiting some key places in the city that my sister didn't know: we started in the Piazza dei Campidoglio and saw the Imperial Forums from above, one of the most beautiful views of the city, it was also getting dark and the light was spectacular. We walked along Via del Corso and saw the Fontana di Trevi, which was as I had never seen it before, there was no space. We had dinner near the Pantheon and went to sleep early because the next day a bus trip to Naples awaited us. And that was the beginning of the Italy tour unknown to me.

De camino a Napoles (unas 4h desde Roma) paramos en Capua, una antigua ciudad romana de la que se conserva el anfiteatro en bastante buen estado. Es como un Coliseo en pequeño, de hecho ahí s preparaban los gladiadores para luego ir a Roma. Lo que me encantó es que se pueden visitar los sótanos, donde los gladiadores se preparaban para salir a escena y donde estaban los animales. Es algo que en el Coliseo de Roma no se puede visitar y me faltaba por ver
On the way to Naples (about 4 hours from Rome) we stop at Capua, an ancient Roman city of which the amphitheatre is preserved in quite good condition. It's like a small Colosseum, in fact there the gladiators were preparing to go to Rome, and what I loved is that you can visit the cellars, where the gladiators were preparing to go on stage and where the animals were. It's something you can't visit at the Colosseum in Rome and I have never seen it before.

Por la tarde visitamos Nápoles, es una ciudad que me sorprendió mucho, aunque estuvimos poco.
Primero fuimos a ver la ciudad desde una zona alta para hacernos una idea del conjunto. Es espectacular la vista, es una ciudad enorme en el mar que tiene muy cerca con el volcán Vesubio, uno de los vocales actualmente activos que hay en el mundo. Nos contaron que está muy controlado y si hubiera una erupción hay un protocolo de evacuación e la ciudad.

The view was spectacular, it is a huge city by the sea, very close to the Vesuvius volcano, one of the currently active volcanos in the world. We were told that it is very controlled and if there is an eruption there is an evacuation protocol in the city.

Vimos la zona del puerto que tenía muy buen ambiente, con muchas terrazas donde la gente se reunía a timar algo. Visitamos la galería de Umberto I, muy parecida a la de Milan, aunque en mi opinión la de Milan es mucho más bonita y espectacular. Paseamos por las calles comerciales y por el barrio español y nos dedicamos a explorar la gastronomía callejera de la ciudad.
We saw the port that had a very good atmosphere, with many terraces where people met. We visited the Umberto I gallery, very similar to the one of Milan, although in my opinion the one of Milan is much more beautiful and spectacular. We strolled through the shopping streets and the Spanish quarter and explored the city's street gastronomy.
Me tomé una pizza napolitana por la calle, algo que tenia claro en el viaje es que tenía que probar esta pizza. Es una masa muy fina y no te venden una porción, te venden la pizza entera doblada en cuatro. También tomamos el típico spritz en una terracita y probamos la sfogliatella, una especie de pastel de hojaldre relleno de crema muy típico.
I had a Neapolitan pizza down the street, one thing I knew for sure on the trip was that I had to try that pizza. It's a very thin dough and they don't sell you a slice, they sell you the whole pizza folded in four. We also I had the typical spritz on a street terrace and for the sweet end I tried the sfogliatella, a kind of puff pastry filled with cream very typical in Naples.
Nos quedamos en el hotel NH, una torre en el centro de la ciudad, la única torre del centro. Me encantó el hotel, de hecho creo que es el único que recomendaría del viaje, el resto no son para recomendar. Nuestra habitación era espectacular en la planta 28, desde donde se veía toda la ciudad.
Me habría gustado conocer más la ciudad pero lo poco que vi me encantó.

We had a spectacular room on the 28th floor from where you could see the whole city.
